Care Of Your baby's Teeth. Prevent Mouth Odour!!!!!!!

How do you Care for your baby's tender gums/ teeth ?

Most of us are unaware of when to start caring for our baby's little teeth.

Start  cleaning your baby's teeth twice a day as soon as you see his first little tooth bud emerging. Starting early has its advantage because your baby  will get used to having his teeth cleaned.

Your baby's first tooth will most likely be a bottom front one, appearing when he's about six months old. However, the time a baby's first tooth appears can vary hugely. A few babies are born with a tooth through already!  Yes sounds strange but it's true, its called natal tooth, some people try to remove it, while others manages it until it falls off on its own, while Others still have no teeth by the time they're one.

We sometimes get confused on the type of paste to use.well we can start my using tepid water with a little pinch of salt to clean their buds, then gradually upgrade to the use of  baby brush  with a tiny smear of fluoride toothpaste.

Some kids struggle with this exercise,  so you may have to keep trying. Make it into a game, or brush your own teeth at the same time and then help your child finish their own. Perseverance is the key.

Supervise brushing to make sure your child gets the right amount of toothpaste and they are not eating or licking toothpaste from the tube.

Replace the toothbrush as soon as the bristles start to look worn or splayed.

This position can help you brush your baby teeth properly , by Placing baby on your lap with his head facing you is a good position for a wide-open-mouth entry. Sitting or standing behind baby with him looking up also gives you a good view. An older baby can be held cradled in your arms to one side. Or try the two-parent knee-to-knee position.

Dentistry recommend that you take your child to the dentist within six months after her first tooth erupts, or by her first birthday, whichever comes first.

It is equally very important to check the kind of food we give our kids some of these foods are culprits things like  lollipops, sweets bread etc.
